How to enable and use Discord's Developer Mode


Discord assigns multi-digit identifiers to users, messages, channels, servers, and more. These IDs are essential for configuring various aspects of Boomerang and customising your experience. To copy an ID, you must have Developer Mode enabled.

  1. Visit your account settings
  2. Scroll down or search for 'Advanced'
  3. Toggle the switch for 'Developer Mode' to the on position

  1. Visit your profile
  2. Select the settings icon in the top right
  3. Search for and select 'Advanced'
  4. Toggle the switch for 'Developer Mode' to the on position

Once Developer Mode is enabled, you can copy IDs for users, channels, and other elements by right-clicking (or holding on mobile) and selecting the appropriate option. Here's what you can do:

  • Copy Channel ID
  • Copy Server ID
  • Copy User ID

These IDs are crucial for various Boomerang configurations and customisations.
