Boomerang’s Promotions plugin enables managers to promote staff members efficiently and consistently. By running the command, managers may either select a specific role or allow Boomerang to automatically assign the next role in the established chain of command. Upon execution, Boomerang removes the staff member’s previous roles, applies the new role(s), and records the promotion in the database for auditing and tracking purposes.
You cannot promote, or attempt to promote, a user who holds a role equal to or higher than your highest role. This restriction ensures that promotions respect the server’s role hierarchy and permission structure.
